TITLE:

EVENING INTENSIVE OUTPATIENT CLINICIAN

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
Formal SUD training and applicable counselor training, plus three-year full-time work experience specifically in SUD treatment, which combine to provide eligibility for credentialing as a Credentialed Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Counselor (CASAC)


LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION:
CASAC, CASAC-T, LMSW, LCSW or other New York State Licensure


EXPERIENCE:
A background of specific SUD training and experience is required. Must be able to integrate person centered practices and harm reduction.


DUTIES:

  • Works evening shift. 4-day work week is possible.
  • Under the direction and supervision of the Clinical Director and/or Supervising Clinician, provide individual, group and family counseling to persons suffering from substance use disorder and their family or significant others
  • Learn and provide evidence-based practices
  • Maintain typical caseload of 1:40 for clinic, 1:20 for outpatient rehabilitation, 1:20 adolescents
  • Conduct individual sessions and other interventions as prescribed in the treatment plan of each patient. Caseload will include individual therapy patients.
  • Risk assessment of patients (overdose risk potential, risk for suicide)
  • Keep accurate and timely documentation of all billable clinical activities in compliance with ACBC, OASAS and Medicaid or other payers
  • Participate in agency employee meetings
  • Provide coverage for employee members as assigned and as needed
  • Participate in employee development opportunities that may be required by the agency
  • Assist in the agency's program of training and consultation for other professionals and interested groups. This may require speaking, lecturing, and aiding in the design of such training programs, as they are developed to meet these needs
  • Participate as a member of the agency's Quality Improvement committee
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Pay:
$43, $51,881.25 per year
