- Support the Quality Engineer function by collecting and distributing data relevant to specified projects. Support additional responsibilities as required.
- Assure that material meets engineering specification and customer requirements.
- Provide tactical quality support to operations by Investigating, Troubleshooting and Reporting on Internal (supplier and assembly issues) and External (customer complaints).
- Familiar with Blueprint reading and understands basic GD&T.
- Maintain records, certifications and documentation for completed inspections.
- Participate and/or lead problem solving events under the direction of a Quality Engineer.
- Disposition material and coordinate with purchasing on supplied material. Provide tactical quality support to operations. Basic Qualifications
- Basic understanding of assembly methods.
- Must be comfortable utilizing conventional measuring equipment including but not limited to calipers, micrometers, optical comparators, microscopes and other types of inspection devices.
- Basic understanding of blueprints and other documents that define product specification.
- General knowledge of ISO procedures. Basic understanding of root cause analysis (5W1H, 5 Whys, Fishbone, etc.).
- Possess basic computer skills with experience in Microsoft Excel and Word. Key Competencies
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required; Associates degree in manufacturing technology (preferred). OR
- quality inspection experience in a manufacturing environment (prefer machining and assembly background)
