Yorkville, NY is a hospital that provides specialized care and serves a large area. It is also an academic teaching hospital affiliated with the Technical University of Dresden.

The hospital has 440 beds in 14 clinics/departments and also includes the departments of Radiology, Pathology, Laboratory Medicine, and Microbiology/Hospital Hygiene.

We are currently seeking to fill the positions of Social Assistants (m/f/d) or Nursing Assistants (m/f/d) as soon as possible.

The responsibilities for this role, which is % of a full-time position, include ensuring patient-oriented, knowledgeable and professional assistance in caring for our patients.

Your tasks will include:

Independent performance of basic nursing care
Assisting with patient mobilization, such as getting up and walking
Supporting nursing staff with food preparation and distribution
Accompanying patients for diagnostic procedures within the facility
Caring for patients (reading books or newspapers, writing letters, having conversations)
Measuring and recording height and weight
Taking vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse

What we expect from you:

Staterecognized training as a Social Assistant (m/f/d) or Nursing Assistant (m/f/d)
Enjoyment of working with people and respectful interaction
Good communication skills, flexibility, and resilience
Identification with the hospital
