    Description

    STV is currently looking for an Entry-Level Engineer to join the Water Resources team in Virginia Beach, VA. As part of this role, you will collaborate with engineers and project managers on various tasks related to drainage improvements, stormwater management, and eco-restoration projects.

    This position offers you a chance to use innovative methods for designing stormwater systems for transportation and public works clients in the Mid-Atlantic region. Expect diverse experiences in both office and field environments. This is an excellent career opportunity to tackle challenging assignments for public clients while working alongside a seasoned consulting team.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Assist in preparing technical reports, engineering drawings, and response letters.
    • Analyze and design storm drainage systems and erosion control practices.
    • Conduct Hydrologic and Hydraulic analyses.
    • Create engineering designs using MicroStation and GIS software.
    • Develop Erosion and Sediment Control, Drainage, and Stormwater plans.

    REQUIREMENTS:

    • B.S. / M.S. in Civil or Environmental Engineering preferred.
    • Entry-level position, previous civil engineering experience is a bonus.
    • Proficiency in civil engineering design software such as MicroStation and HEC-RAS.
    • Experience with reading construction plans.
    • Strong communication skills, both written and oral.
    • Ability to multitask and manage time effectively.
    • High motivation and problem-solving attitude.

    COMPENSATION RANGE:

    $55, $74,254.00
