    Job Description

    We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced 4G/5G RAN Test Engineer III to join our dynamic team.

    In this role, you will be responsible for the development of product validation, feature validation, systems and performance analysis, with a focus on Air interface, E2E performance, and Call Processing for LTE & 5G RAN products.

    The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our wireless communication products.

    Key Responsibilities

    Develop and execute test cases in customer labs, create comprehensive reports, and present findings to customers.
    Analyze product and feature requirements, translating them into system test cases for execution to ensure compliance with customer specifications.
    Conduct product and feature performance analysis, and evaluate new product and software releases.
    Perform detailed analysis of 4G & 5G Wireless Protocols, identifying and troubleshooting issues.
    Educate customers on Samsung's new products and services, individually and in team environments.
    Ensure customer commitments are achieved according to plan.

    Collaborate with support organizations, logistics, and cross-functional teams from SEA and Samsung HQ for successful new product roll-outs and developments.

    Undertake other duties as assigned.

    Requirements

    Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science.
    8-10 years of directly related experience; Master's with 6+ years' experience preferred.
    In-depth understanding of 4G & 5G concepts such as DL/UL scheduling, LTE power control, Beamforming fundamentals, MIMO, ENDC.
    Experience with ongoing 3GPP Rel activities is beneficial.
    Strong knowledge of 4G & 5G air interface and call processing technologies with a focus on Radio Access Network.
    Familiarity with PHY, MAC, RLC, RRC, and PDCP layers in wireless systems.
    Hands-on experience in Lab testing and IOT testing is preferred.
    Understanding of IOT technologies including eMTC, NB-IOT, S1 & X2 Interface.
    Experience with EMS systems, managing network elements, software upgrades, and MOP verification.
    Familiarity with SW development is beneficial.

    Understanding of 3GPP systems:
    Core and RAN networks.
    Understanding of HW as well as SW architecture.
    Proficiency in test tools including protocol analyzers, XCAL/QXDM, Wireshark, Channel Emulator, Spectrum Analyzers, Signal Generators, etc.
    Ability to travel sporadically during the project.
