Customer Manager - Educational Sales

Fremont, CA

CUSTOMER MANAGER
Burlington English, Inc.

has an open position for an educational sales professional based out of the Northern California, Bay Area who will manage and develop a sales territory to include Northern California, Bay Area.

This position is a home-based position covering Northern California, Bay Area and other states as needed.


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Drive sales in the territory from the ground up
  • Generate leads, qualify prospects, and build a pipeline through outbound business development and sales activities
  • Ability to understand needs of customers and develop personalized solutions
  • Manage the customer relationship at all stages from demonstration to implementation and beyond
  • Conduct product training for teachers and administrators on a regular basis
  • Collaborate with other departments including product development, marketing, and support
  • Manage and report on pipeline, sales cycle, and forecast revenue
  • Travel approximately 60% of the time (with seasonal variations)

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent, relevant training/experience. 3 or more years teaching experience is highly desirable.
  • At least four years of pertinent job experience with a preference for experience in promotions/sales in the field of education for example a professional in an educational sales company or educational organization.
  • Excellent interpersonal, customer service, and communication skills (listening, speaking, writing, presentation preparation/delivery).
  • Proficient with Microsoft Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint) and experience using CRM to manage the sales process and forecast sales. Ability to quickly learn and effectively utilize database programs and conduct research on the Internet.
  • Track record of achieving sales targets effectively.
  • Strong analytical skills to identify trends and sales patterns and design and implement successful sales strategies.
  • Ability to guide and mentor Customer Representatives.
  • Planning, organization, and problemsolving skills. Advanced time management skills.
  • Must be able to work independently and travel up to 60% primarily by car (*provided by the Company) within a specified Region and work weekends if/when required.
  • Polished professional appearance and demeanor. Dependable and detail oriented.
  • Advantageous but not required: Bilingual (e.g., Spanish/English) Able to read/write/speak fluently.

  • May be required to accomplish job duties using various types of equipment and supplies including but not limited to pens, pencils, calculators, cell phones, computer monitors, computer keyboards, telephones, audio/video apparatus, etc.
  • May be required to frequently **transport oneself by car (provided by the Company) and be punctual to meetings and activities held outside of their home office, to lead or attend meetings, conferences, workshops, seminars, special events, and planning sessions, etc.

Pay:
$70, $75,000.00 per year
