Assistant Manager for Hotel & Hostel in Hollywood.
A full-time Assistant Manager position, is available for a Hotel and Hostel in Hollywood. Shifts are available 5 days a week from 8am-4pm or sometimes 4pm-12am. Weekend availability is also preferred. Valid driving license and work authorization are required.
The Assistant Manager works at reception and on management tasks.
We are looking for someone to handle more responsibilities moving forward, with the possibility of training as the General Manager.
The ideal person is able to work independently while also being part of a team. Living locally near Hollywood or having a short commute is preferred.Our Hotel and Hostel provides clean, safe, fun and affordable accommodations to backpackers and travelers alike. We strive to create and maintain a professional, positive and fun environment, for all staff and clientele.
Duties:
- Assist in managing the daily operations of the hotel/hostel, including front desk, guest relations, housekeeping, maintenance and online travel agencies.
- Ensure excellent customer service by training and supervising staff in all departments.
- Oversee the checkin and checkout process, ensuring efficiency and accuracy.
- Handle guest inquiries, complaints, and requests in a timely and professional manner.
- Assist with managing room reservations and coordinating with housekeeping to ensure rooms are clean and ready for guests.
- Collaborate with all departments to ensure smooth operations and guest satisfaction.
- Assist in monitoring hotel revenue, expenses, occupancy rates, payroll and prices.
- Assist in implementing policies and procedures to maintain high standards of service and achieve high customer ratings on the internet.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in assistant management is a plus.
- Ability to supervise, train, motivate and keep employees on task while working as a team.
- Strong communication skills and ability to interact effectively with guests and staff.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Proficient in using phone systems and computer software.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Knowledge of front desk operations, guest relations, and hotel procedures.
Pay:
$ $20.00 per hour
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- Night shift
- Weekends as needed
Experience:
- Assistant manager: 1 year (required)
