- Managing day-to-day and month-end close process
- Quarterly/Annual Financial Reporting Package preparation
- Facilitate annual tax return preparation with outside accounting firm
- Facilitate annual audits and other attestation services
- Variance analysis and transaction research
- Establish new processes/procedures to increase efficiency within the department
- Supervise and mentor accounting team members
- Provide on-going support for new initiatives/projects
- Ensure that deadlines are met
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or equivalent
- CPA a plus
- Minimum 2 years' auditing experience at a public accounting firm
- Experience as an audit in-charge preferred or other supervisory experience
- Experience working in the real estate industry (developer/construction/property management) preferred
- Excellent attention to detail and follow-through
- Highly organized and focused
- Ability to work independently and as a part of a team
- Highly dependable/ Takes ownership of responsibilities
- Ability to independently research issues and propose solutions
- Excellent problem-solving ability
- Able to manage shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Self-motivated and eager to contribute to a team of high-performing individuals
- Ability to communicate with team members at all levels
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Proficient using Microsoft Excel
- Experience with software conversions a plus
- QuickBooks experience preferred
