- Maintain detailed records of daily contractor operations
- Check work zone traffic control plans for discrepancies
- Review the erosion control plan for issues
- Conduct sampling and testing of materials and finished work
- Verify dimensions of completed work
- Inspect construction work and perform field tests
- Track work quantities for payment
- Conduct survey checks
- Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Construction Engineering, Engineering Management, or related field from an ABET accredited university
- Able to interpret construction plans and specifications
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Valid Driver's License with a good driving record
- Required certifications and qualifications for the position
- Physical ability to perform various tasks under different conditions
- Familiarity with construction safety equipment
- Able to lift up to 50 pounds and handle up to 20 pounds
- Prior internship or relevant experience
- EIT Certification
- DOT Certifications
- OSHA 10 Certification

We are looking for Civil Field Engineering/CEI Inspectors to join our Transportation-Construction Management team in Dallas, TX.
As a Civil Field Engineering/CEI Inspector, your main role will be to oversee the contractors' construction activities on-site and inspect materials to ensure they comply with plans, specifications, and other contract documents for road and bridge projects. To excel in this position, you need top-notch communication skills, team spirit, enthusiasm, motivation, honesty, and reliability.
