Position Overview
The Project Manager oversees the construction activities and delivery of projects. They prepare contracts, coordinate on-site work, monitor quality, manage contracts, and communicate with stakeholders. They also prepare project status reports and ensure plans adhere to contract specifications.
The salary range for this position is $120-160K, with a full benefit package.
Reporting Structure
A single Project Manager reports directly to the V.P. of Construction Operations, whereas multiple Project Managers on-site reports to the Sr. Project Manager or V.P. of Construction Operations. All Project Managers share equal responsibility with the on-site Superintendents for project success. They supervise Assistant Project Managers, Project Engineers, Project Assistants, Project Coordinators, and Interns.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent, preferably in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Architecture, or Construction Management
- 510 years of construction field experience with threeplus years as an Assistant and Project Manager
- Valid CA Driver's License
- OSHA30 Certification
Essential Job Responsibilities
- Knowledge of construction techniques, materials, equipment, design, and selfperformed work.
- Understanding business and management principles such as planning, resource allocation, production methods, and coordination of people and resources.
- Knowledge of federal, state, and local building codes, ordinances, and regulations.
- Ability to use Procore to prepare, distribute, and track RFIs, submittals, and change orders for owners and subcontractors.
- Ability to understand and interpret schematics, blueprints, drawings, and technical manuals.
- Ability to independently identify and resolve complex construction issues to mitigate risk and protect company interests.
- Ability to create clear and concise presentations for construction estimates, schedules, and services.
- Ability to analyze problems, evaluate alternatives, and develop and implement sound courses of action in areas of responsibility.
- Ability to adjust to changing priorities, manage workload changes and impacts, and communicate effectively with a diverse workforce.
- Ability to maintain a safe work environment.
Physical Abilities and Site Conditions
- Requires using hands to finger, handle or objects, tools or controls, sit, talk, hear, stand, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, and crouch or crawl.
- Are regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes, or airborne particles.
- Regularly works on construction job sites exposed to the outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Employee must occasionally lift and move up to 75 pounds.
- Must be willing to work long hours, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Must be willing to work emergency or oncall duty on nights and weekends.
