Responsibilities:


Staff Management

  • Recruit, hire, train, and develop a highperforming team of sales associates and cashiers
  • Create weekly staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage during operational hours, including nights and weekends
  • Conduct performance reviews, provide feedback, and coach employees
  • Foster a positive, motivating work environment aligned with company values

Sales & Customer Service

  • Drive sales by creating effective merchandising displays and promotions
  • Ensure outstanding customer service through continuous staff training
  • Handle customer complaints and issues with professionalism and resolve
  • Analyze sales data and trends to optimize product mix and inventory levels

Operations & Compliance

  • Oversee daily store operations including opening/closing, cash management, inventory receiving
  • Maintain organized backroom and stockroom areas to maximize efficiency
  • Ensure compliance with all company policies, liquor laws, and regulations
  • Implement loss prevention best practices to minimize theft and shrinkage

Financial Management

  • Achieve sales, profitability, and other performance goals
  • Manage payroll and labor costs within prescribed budgets
  • Process daily cash deposits, reports, and other documentation
  • Identify opportunities to control costs and improve profit margins

Requirements:


  • 2+ years of retail management experience, preferably in wine/liquor/specialty foods
  • Strong leadership, coaching, and people management abilities
  • Excellent customer service, communication, and problemsolving skills
  • Proficiency with inventory management and pointofsale systems
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Knowledge of wine, beer, and spirits products is a plus
  • High school diploma required, some college preferred

Shift:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Day shift
  • Evening shift
  • Morning shift
  • Night shift

Weekly day range:

  • Monday to Friday
  • Weekends as needed

Ability to Commute:

  • North Providence, RI required)

Ability to Relocate:

  • North Providence, RI 02904: Relocate before starting work (required)
