- Diagnose and treat mental health issues in adult patients
- Provide medication management, psychotherapy and other forms of treatment
- Conduct assessments, psychological evaluations, and individual and group therapy
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care
- Utilize evidence-based practices when delivering care
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
- Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Psychiatry
- Ability to work effectively with a diverse patient population
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Active and valid license to practice medicine in Washington, DC

The Psychiatric Institute of Washington (PIW) is a for-profit mental health treatment center own and operated by a subsidiary of Universal Health Services, Inc.
(UHS). The free-standing Behavioral Health facility offers a variety of psychiatric and psychological services to individuals, couples, families and groups. PIW provides comprehensive and individualized care to those with mental health and substance use disorders.PIW s team of psychiatrists, psychologists, certified social workers, and therapists are dedicated to helping individuals find the most effective way to manage their symptoms, reach their goals, and lead healthier and happier lives.
PIW offers a variety of services, including individual and group therapy, medication management, case management services, and family therapy.
