Role Summary

Reporting Relationship
This position reports to the Middle School/Tutorial House Principal and the Director of Modern Languages.


Position Purpose

French Language B Teacher (Foreign Language Acquisition)

  • Seeking an experienced French educator with a background in International Baccalaureate (IB) teaching in a multicultural and multilingual environment.
  • This is a fulltime position.
  • This teacher will be a part of a collaborative department with an internationally focused curriculum.

Responsibilities

  • Primary responsibilities include teaching French Language B to students from Middle School to High School.
  • Supervising students during noninstructional time, attending curriculum and grade level meetings.
  • Other duties as assigned and in accordance with the Collective Bargaining Agreement (e.g. supervision duties, office hours, etc.)

Requirements:


  • Bachelor's Degree required (Master's Degree preferred)
  • Experience in a K12 educational environment essential
  • Five years teaching experience, preferably in an international setting
  • Demonstrated knowledge of current research in Middle School and High School language education
  • Experience with best practices in assessment and reporting best practices preferred (e.g. Standard-Based Grading and Reporting)

_Salary Range:
$66,093 to $109,243 (prorated for part-time, temporary positions)_
