Position Summary:

This position reports to Mohegan Nevada ("MGNV") and is responsible for the compilation of gaming revenues, related tax filings, accuracy of financial statements and performance of audit and validation procedures to ensure accuracy of financial statements and compliance with all regulatory controls for MGNVs' casino operation located inside Virgin Hotels Las Vegas.

Requirements

Primary Duties and Responsibilities: includes but not limited to:

• Responsible for the development of monthly general ledger closing entries associated with gaming and hotel activities
• Assist the Casino Controller with the monthly financial close, ad hoc reporting and other related duties
• Oversee the audit and recording of gaming revenues
• Responsible for the invoicing and collection of hotel charge direct bills as well as other receivable balances as assigned
• Responsible for the timely filing and payment requests of gaming taxes for MGNV
• Review and assure accuracy and timeliness of account reconciliations for the Accounting department
• Participate in the monthly departmental financial reviews
• Responsible for the hiring, training, scheduling and evaluation of the Accounting staff
• Ensure the timely and accurate reporting of the activities by way of the Daily Operating Report and other daily and periodic financial reports of operations

Secondary Duties and Responsibilities:

• Review invoices
• Ensure compliance with internal operating procedures and controls

Minimum Education and Qualifications:

• Bachelors' Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field
• Five years of supervisory experience in an Operational Accounting department or in a high volume, complex casino or hospitality environment
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills
• Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office suite applications and products
• In lieu of a Degree and previously mentioned experience eight years of supervisory experience in an Operational Accounting department or in a high volume, complex casino or hospitality environment may be considered

Competencies: Incumbent will master the following competencies while in this position:

• Knowledge of MGNV department policies and procedures
• Basic understanding of the MGNV budget process
• Ability to facilitate department roles in monthly financial closings

Training Requirements:

• Must complete all appropriate Human Resources Manager Training courses
• Knowledge of applicable systems routinely used by Mohegan Gaming Entertainment

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

• Office work environment, including ability to work remotely
• Must be able to sit in front of a computer screen for extended periods of time
• Must be able to work various shifts and flexible hours
