Long Island's leading butcher shop, Farmingdale Meat Market/Main Street Wholesale Meats, is looking for a Cashier to join our team.

Job Summary


At Farmingdale Meat Market, our Customer Service Associates manage daily administrative processes for our company and serve as the first point of contact for our customers.

The hours for this position are generally 10am - 6pm, with some weekends.


Responsibilities

  • Provide customer support in person and over the phone in relation to product inquiries, complaints, and general information
  • Enter orders into Food Connex invoicing system
  • Process customer payments accurately and efficiently on the register and credit card machine

Qualifications

  • High school degree or equivalent
  • One year of related experience
  • Previous cash handling experience preferred
  • Computersavvy
  • Ability to work weekend shift

Skills

  • Exceptional communication and customer service skills
  • Basic math, including calculating totals and discounts
  • The ability to multitask and work well under pressure
  • Bilingual a plus
