Description

The Transition Counselor is responsible for providing services to transitioning Service Members and their Family Members at the TAP Center in South Burlington, VT.

This includes conducting individual counseling sessions to address any questions or concerns, scheduling and organizing local briefings, coordinating DOL Employment Workshops and VA Benefits Briefings, and providing a comprehensive Transition Briefing to inform clients about available services and eligibility requirements for transition benefits.

The Transition Counselor also ensures that eligible Soldiers receive the necessary pre-separation counseling and assists them in developing an Individual Transition Plan (ITP) and resume.

They also work with clients to establish individual transition goals and provide follow-up counseling to help them complete their gap analysis.

Additionally, the Transition Counselor conducts TAP employment assistance workshops and engages in regional outreach and pre-separation counseling as needed.

All tasks are performed in accordance with the instructions of the Contract Installation Manager (CIM) and the Performance Work Statement (PWS).
