The Operations Director is to work collaboratively with the Executive Director & Program Manager to carry out the mission of the Camelot for Children organization.

The Operations Director will participate in the day-to-day, cost-effective operations of the facility while maintaining a positive, safe and healthy environment for the children at Camelot and their families.

The Operations Director will serve as an ambassador and representative of Camelot for Children in the community at events and activities.

Camelot for Children is a modest nonprofit with ambitious plans.

It is key that the Operations Director is passionate about working as part of a team to achieve the organization's goals and serve our community's children and families.


The Operations Director will:

Responsibilities:


  • Oversee the Program Manager and the planning and execution of monthly parties for the teens and Camelot children.
  • Oversee the Program Manager and the planning and coordination of summer camp including arranging field trips, coordinating nurses, and training and scheduling volunteers.
  • Prepare annual progress report post camp as well as a summary of actual expenses and the annual budget for camp. Working with the Executive Director, tracks expenses for the organization.
  • Develops and maintains the onboarding process for new talent including the Board Binder and attends Board meetings.
  • Serves as event planner or facilitates the hiring of one as needed for Board fundraisers, including training of Board Members regarding efficient use of tools to maximize the impact of the fundraiser. (Give Smart, Bloomerang, etc.)
  • Assists Executive Director with implementation of capital projects.
  • Participate in the fundraising efforts of the organization.
  • Work closely with the Executive Director to secure sponsors and donors.
  • Promote the organization to assist in recruiting new families, medical volunteers, and other volunteers. Serves as the liaison with the Medical Director on the Board.
  • Promote activities and programs of the organization.
  • Maintain security of the sensitive information of our children and families.
  • Be an advocate for the children and families of Camelot.
  • Leads Continue the Magic program operations and fundraising campaigns.
  • Represent the mission and goals of the organization.
  • Ensures compliance with all Camelot policies and procedures for the Junior Board, families, and volunteers, including development of SOPs for critical processes for the organization.
  • Attend Committee meetings as needed or as directed by the Executive Director.
  • Oversees the day-to-day, cost-effective operations of the Camelot and property ensuring that the house and property is maintained as a safe and secure environment. This includes the processes for utilization of the facilities by other non-profits with the goal of maximizing the use of the facilities when not being used for Camelot events.
  • Maintain official records and documents (children and volunteer records) in accordance with the Board established record retention policy.
  • Makes recommendations to the Executive Director for purchases of services or supplies for the organization, including purchases for the summer camp, parties and events.
Under the direction of the Executive Director, the Operations Director will serve as a community liaison:

  • Promotes the organization to attract new families, volunteers and donors.
  • Represents the programs and point of view of the organization to agencies, organizations, and the general public.
  • Promotes the activities, programs and goals of the organization to families, volunteers, junior board and staff (nurses).
  • Joins and participates in organizations including civic groups, chambers of commerce, boards and coalitions to gain visibility, develop resources and serve the community.

$29, $36,000.00 per year
