The ideal Direct Support Professional demonstrates compassion, empathy and respect in assisting people to realize their full potential. The role of a Direct Support Professional is to ensure our clients remain integrated and engaged in their community
Direct Support Professionals enjoy schedule flexibility, benefit eligibility at 30+ hours per week (individual coverage is under $60 per month), generous paid time off, paid sick leave, and retirement plan eligibility at 20+ hours per week with match eligibility at 30+ hours per week.
Job Responsibilities of the Direct Support Professional include but are not limited to:
- Assists residents with personal care areas on a daily basis, which may include: showering/bathing, housekeeping, laundry, budgeting, bill-paying, banking, and shopping.
- Maintains compliance with all health and safety facility related licensing standards (Department of Economic Security, Division of Developmental Disabilities and Department of Health Services).
- Implements recommended therapies; documents implementation of recommended programs, outcomes, progress and concerns using the Therapy web-based documentation system.
- Entry level applicants welcome - we will train
Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Ability to lift 60 lbs 20% of the time
- Valid driver license, proof of insurance, and 39-month motor vehicle report
- Ability to obtain and maintain Arizona Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card and FBI National Criminal Records History Report (employer paid)
- Pass pre-employment drug screen (incudes marijuana, regardless of recreational use laws) (employer paid)
