For the winter semester 2024/2025, we are looking for dedicated students starting in September/October at Grandview

Modern endoscopy systems increasingly include robotic components to relieve the user and make the procedure safer. The variety of systems ranges from conventional articulated robots with application-specific end effectors to endoscopes with internal actuators. From this field, we offer you the following interesting tasks in the areas of mechanics/mechatronics or image processing for an internship or thesis:

  • Design of mechatronic components as end effectors for active holding systems
  • Image-based control of robotic endoscopy systems for semi-autonomous execution of surgical procedures

Your talents

  • Studies in the fields of mechatronics, electrical and information technology, medical technology or similar courses of study
  • If you are interested in the mechanical and mechatronic field, practical experience in the design of mechatronic systems is helpful, e.g. within the scope of student projects or internships
  • If your focus is more on software development, knowledge of software such as Python, C++, Open CV, etc. is advantageous
  • You demonstrate perseverance in finding solutions and can get excited about a new topic
