    Job Description

    This position provides troubleshooting assistance and problem resolution for computer systems in a variety of environments. Such assistance and resolution is provided for personal computers, mini/mainframe computers, client servers as well Local Area Networks (LANs), Wide Area Networks (WANs), and web pages. This category includes occupations concerned with the direct delivery and development of instruction. The instruction is primarily of a technical nature where the requirements of the work are a combination of practical knowledge of the methods and techniques of instruction and practical knowledge and experience in the subject taught. With the exception of educational technologist and instructional developer positions, the occupational titles in this category do not have a requirement of professional training in the field of education.

    EPS Corporation is seeking a Senior System Support Specialist with 7-10 years' Experience. Functional System Administrator support in the application, installation, configuration, and administration and testing of information technology systems and equipment. Provide support by establishing, manning, and executing troubleshooting services, information assurance, and asset accountability, to support end users; forward and track trouble tickets to the Enterprise Service Desk (ESD) as required, and utilize DoD Remedy service to track all work orders and support requests.

    Support loading and configuration of functional systems including, but not limited to, Global Decision Support System (GDSS), Automated Terminal Information System (ATIS), GTIMS, Airfield Automated System (AFAS), Joint Environmental Toolkit (JET), Target Acquisition Weather Software (TAWS), Jeppeson Navigation Charts Software and Data, Advanced Tactical Airborne Reconnaissance System (ATARS), PRO Time, Microsoft Office Professional, Flight Equipment Records Management System (FERMS).

    Requirements

    Support Areas (IT Support, Equipment Management Support, User Support, Operational Support):

    Install, configure, troubleshoot, and maintain current NIPR/SIPR Desktop/Laptop/Tablet/Secure Video Teleconference and Mission Planning UTC Equipment configurations within Air Force Networking Operating Center standards on workstations and servers.

    Configure, troubleshoot, and maintain handheld client devices (including but not limited to tablets, and Smartphone devices as applicable).

    Maintain and support all laptop, printer, scanner, monitor, and computers.

    Manage, establish and maintain user network connections, via physical and wireless (WIFI) connections including router setup/maintenance and troubleshooting.

    Maintain Management Internal Control Toolset (MICT) accounts and certifications.

    Build, maintain, and sustain a mission history data base and backup.

    Create, manage and maintain, grant/deny/remove user access, and close user, group, and local e-mail and network accounts.

    Maintain local accounts for deployed users so as to protect accounts from de-provision and potential loss of data.

    Manage user permissions to network resources, security groups, distribution lists, and network stored data structures as requested by proper authorities.

    Maintain secure Tactical Local Area Network Encryption (TACLANE) devices for SIPR enclaves. This includes swap out, accountability, labeling, and inventory.

    Accompany government equipment custodian on TACLANE-directed inventory/accountability checks when directed.

    Ensure notifications to SIPR monitors to ensure SIPR computers software are updated.

    Research and advice on potential software for Government purchase.

    Set up, configure and tear down deployment and redeployment line computers when squadrons deploy and return from deployment.

    Set up, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Secure Video Teleconference Equipment including accountability and inventory.

    Administer SharePoint sites, including sub-pages. Manage permissions, provide SharePoint utilization advice, and provide technical solutions to maximize SharePoint effectiveness.
