    Description
    As a Commercial Product Development Analyst, you will be focused on researching and developing new commercial product and service offerings to drive new business strategies based on industry and customer research. You will also work on analysis and reporting around our commercial results, tracking industry trends, partnering with commercial leadership to drive growth and profitability strategies and decision making, and partnering with commercial underwriting staff, other product analysts, actuary, auditing and other business units to implement profitability initiatives. This role will be central to our efforts to grow our Commercial Lines of business.

    This position offers a hybrid work schedule and is based out of our corporate offices in Bloomington, IL. 100% remote work is also an option, based on candidate location.

    How does a Commercial Product Development Analyst make an impact?
    • Drive the successful development of new products and the effective management and enhancement of existing products by making recommendations regarding product design, pricing, underwriting, agency management, distribution, claims and other processes.
    • Ensures overall goals for production and underwriting profitability are met by analyzing premium rates, loss experience and retention.
    • In conjunction with marketing, develops line(s) of business profit and growth strategies and translates business ideas and market opportunities into new product ideas by researching and maintaining awareness of all major competitors' current market positions (i.e., rates, service levels, financial positions and operating strategies), business directions, financial dynamics, and new technologies.
    • Communicates and coordinates key profit metrics by coordinating with the Information Technology (IT) department to ensure proper implementation of rate revisions, new products, new product features, and other initiatives; develops working relationships with Accounting, Actuarial, Claims, Customer Service and IT.
