Description
ZMicro is seeking a Quality Control Inspector who can inspect our products to confirm they meet specification. This individual will document the results of inspections and generate non-conforming reports when necessary. We are looking for a highly organized, methodical professional with a high degree of attention to detail.


Our customers are in the military, medical, broadcasting, and transportation industries and as such require compliance with multiple quality standards.

We are certified to AS9100 and ISO 9001.

The Quality Control Inspector will be integral in maintaining each of these certifications through adherence to policies and procedures and ensuring quality is always the top priority.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.


Other duties may be assigned:

  • Assist in the verification of shipping paperwork and product shipment approval.
  • Assist Quality Engineer in the development of documented inspection procedures for new and revised products.
  • Perform mechanical inspections using calipers, micrometers, pin gauges, and other tools as necessary.
  • Perform workinprocess inspections on new products in the absence of documented inspection procedures using experience, training, and engineering documentation to ensure a quality product is provided to customers.
  • Perform visual inspections as well as basic dimensional and functional verifications of components and assemblies.
  • Perform workinprogress and final inspection of ruggedized workstations, displays, and imaging systems.
  • Make decisions related to the disposition of PCBs and PCAs utilizing knowledge of IPC standards.
  • Perform incoming inspection on printed circuit boards (PCBs), printed circuit board assemblies (PCAs), LCDs, and other parts as necessary.
  • Maintain records of conforming and nonconforming assemblies and components in both paper and paperless environments.
  • Assist in the verification of shipping paperwork and product shipment approval.
  • Verify and approve First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs).

Minimum Requirements:


  • Read and understand engineering component and assembly drawings
  • Read and understand specifications
  • Lift up to 25 pounds
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a quality role
  • Experience with electronics and electronic components is preferred
  • IPC-A610 certification is preferred

Salary Range:
$50,00-$59,000 annually
