Full Job Description

Position Summary:
Receives, Ships, counts, packs, weighs, labels, records data, processes paperwork for incoming and outgoing product.


Essential Job Functions:

• Operates sitdown and standup fork truck(s), pallet jack, and twowheeler.
• Loads and unloads vehicles using material handling equipment or by hand.
• Generates shipping documents.
• Maintains a clean safe work environment on a daily basis.
• Follows all safety procedures and wears protective clothing/gear when applicable.
• Communicates with Shop Supervisor to prioritize incoming and outgoing product daily.
• Drives the company van/truck for pickups and deliveries if necessary.

RECEIVING:

• Receives incoming product from vendors and examines product for visible damage.
• Verifies incoming weights prior to signing and notes any discrepancies. Reports discrepancies to Shop Supervisor.
• Generates inspection paperwork and processes inspection samples.
• Identifies and labels all boxes/containers.
• Issues product to stock locations.
• Submits all paperwork into Shop Supervisor.

SHIPPING:

• Moves product from inspection area according to inspection documentation.
• Generates paperwork required for shipping to vendors and customers.
• Stages, stretch wraps, and bands product to ensure product quality is not compromised.
• Places product into proper stock locations as required.
• Pulls product from stock locations and ships according to freight routing.

Job Qualification Requirements:

TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:
Experience on sit-down and/or stand-up fork trucks preferred. Any shipping/receiving experience or manufacturing/distribution experience is useful. On the job training provided.

Should be detailed oriented, able to handle a fast paced environment, accurate with addition and subtraction, able to handle daily physical labor.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Must be able to lift an average of 60 lbs. Written, visual, verbal activities required.
