    Job Description

    As a Controller, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the financial health and operational efficiency of our resort. You will be responsible for overseeing all financial aspects of the resort, including budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and internal controls. Your expertise will contribute to strategic decision-making processes and facilitate the achievement of our resort's financial goals while maintaining the highest standards of excellence in guest experience.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Financial Management:

    Develop and manage the resort's annual operating budget in alignment with strategic objectives.
    Conduct financial analysis to identify areas for cost reduction and revenue enhancement.
    Monitor financial performance against budget and forecast, providing regular reports to senior management.
    Implement financial controls and procedures to safeguard assets and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
    Reporting and Analysis:

    Prepare timely and accurate financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
    Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
    Generate ad hoc reports and analysis to support decision-making by senior management.
    Forecasting and Planning:

    Develop financial forecasts and models to support long-term planning and decision-making.
    Collaborate with department heads to develop departmental budgets and track performance against targets.
    Provide financial insights and recommendations to support strategic planning and business development initiatives.
    Audit and Compliance:

    Coordinate annual financial audits and liaise with external auditors to ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
    Maintain internal controls to safeguard assets and mitigate financial risks.
    Stay abreast of changes in accounting standards and regulations to ensure compliance and best practices.
    Team Leadership and Development:

    Supervise and mentor finance team members, providing guidance and support to foster professional growth and development.
    Foster a culture of accountability, integrity, and collaboration within the finance team.
    Lead by example, demonstrating a commitment to excellence and continuous improvement.
    Qualifications:

    Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or MBA preferred.
    Proven experience in financial management, preferably in the hospitality industry or luxury resort sector.
    Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial analysis, and budgeting.
    Proficiency in financial modeling and forecasting techniques.
    Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
    Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial management software.
    Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
    Strong leadership and team management skills, with a track record of building high-performing teams.
    Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy and integrity.
    Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
