Summary of Position:


Under the management of the Director of Facility Operations, the Security Manager is responsible for hiring, training, and managing Security Guards for the Company's Clinics and Respite sites.

The Security Manager will ensure Security Guards are familiar with security post orders and will be responsible for updating post orders as needed.

This is a safety and security sensitive position.


Essential duties:


Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Work with the company recruiter to hire new security guards as needed.
  • Manage the Security Lead and all Security guards.
  • Coordinate scheduling while managing time off requests to ensure all shifts are maintained with security representation.
  • Review and make updates to the security post orders as need for both the Clinics and the Respite sites.
  • Understand and train guards in the protocols associated with patient security searches for the respite sites to ensure the environment is safe for patients and staff.
  • Understand and train all guards in the proper protocols for checking in a patient's belongings while they are preparing for exam appointments at the clinics.
  • Be familiar with security trends.
  • Provide employee reviews for all security staff as required.
  • Responsible for mentoring and counseling security guards for continuous improvement.
  • Responsible for daily interactions with the Program Managers for the four sites, as well as collaborating with the Director of Respite Programs to assist in addressing security changes as might be required from time to time.

Qualifications:


Basic Knowledge and Skills:


  • 21 years or older.
  • The Security Manager role is a salaried position.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Minimum 2 years in Security Management, preferably in a healthcare environment.
  • Ability to be kind and compassionate when interacting with our patient population.
  • Background in behavioral health medical facilities a plus.
  • Ability to create and manage the security schedule for each CTC site.
  • Minimum education: High School Degree or equivalent.
  • Computer skills: MS Office, MS Word, and MS Excel preferred.
  • Ability to operate effectively and efficiently with mínimal, direct supervision.
  • Position requires a current AZ Department of Safety Clearance Card and/or Guard Card.
  • CPR/BLS certification required.

Physical and Mental Requirements:


  • Position requires extended periods of sitting, standing, and walking.
  • Ability to adapt to rapid, unpredictable workflow.
  • Experience with underserved populations preferred.
  • The ability to work a wide variety of shifts if needed as a last resort to resolve security staffing issues.
  • The ability to answer phone calls from security staff which could include after hours.
