    **Garden Center Sales Associate**

    **Lyndale Retail - Minneapolis, MN - Seasonal**

    Job Duties:

    Work directly on the sales floor.

    Selling trees and shrubs.

    Consistently learning more about product knowledge.

    Assisting customers and answering questions to provide helpful information.

    Support sales clerks in selection of product.

    Provide accurate, timely and friendly service to both Bachmans customers and potential customers.

    Qualifications:

    Demonstrates excellent customer service.

    Must be able to read and write English, perform basic math skills.

    High energy level.

    Demonstrated ability to follow through on work direction. Successfully complete 12 hours of formalized training.

    Work is performed in areas with weather extremes of heat and cold, and wet conditions.

    The position requires standing/walking on hard surface during the entire shift, working at a fast pace.

    Must be able to lift 50lbs. with frequent bending.

    Schedule:

    Flexible work schedule (e.g., nights, weekends and holidays)

    Seasonal, April- December

    Bachmans was founded in 1885 and remains a family-owned business, with fifth-generation Bachman family members leading the company today. Bachmans operates six full-service Floral, Gift & Garden Centers throughout the Twin Cities, a shop in the Galleria, a Hardscapes Center in Farmington, and 28 floral departments within Lunds & Byerlys grocery stores. Additionally, Bachmans operates indoor and outdoor landscaping divisions, a weddings and special events department, a wholesale nursery division, seven acres of greenhouses, and a 670-acre growing range in Lakeville, Minn., which produces many of the plants, flowers, and landscaping products sold by Bachmans today.
