    Senior Lending OfficerWe are seeking a dynamic, visionary Senior Lending Officer who brings Southern Colorado work/life experience and a proven skill set in business development that will help us grow our loan portfolio.

    We require someone who can actively identify and implement innovations that will advance the Banks competitive stance.

    We expect this individual to lead and develop the bank sales team, as well as build relationships with existing and prospective commercial borrowers.

    The ideal candidate will have an assured, outwardly focused personality, at ease with making strong, effective connections with power players through community and social events.

    This person will have a keen eye for local areas of growth and will know who and how to approach potential opportunities for the bank.

    Core ResponsibilitiesThe Senior Lending Officer reports directly to the Chief Executive Officer and is the chief business development officer for the Bank, supervising commercial lending officers at all branch locations.

    This position is a decision-maker and point of contact for the Banks commercial borrowers.

    The successful applicant will have the capacity to develop and support the Banks loan growth goals, customer retention targets, and profitability models.

    This individual will provide leadership and professional development to the sales team; represent the Bank in the community for business development purposes; and support the values of the Bank by providing outstanding service to both internal and external customers.


    The duties include:
    Direct day-to-day lending functions including personnel decisions, loan operations, and credit extensions.
    Ensure that the lenders are adhering to lending policies and procedures.
    Drive effective marketing for new commercial loans and deposit accounts.
    Lead effective conversations around business issues with customers and lending staff.
    Present new and existing business loan requests.
    Demonstrate a profound comprehension of lending policies and procedures, as well as regulations pertaining to lending and collections.
    Recommend innovations in procedures and policies to advance business objectives.

    Analyze cash flows, financial statements, business management, credit history and collateral available and assist in strategic decision-making around these metrics.

    Deliver high-quality risk ratings of new and existing customers to the Credit Analyst and Chief Executive Officer.
    Promote Bank products and services to customers.
    Demonstrate a leadership mindset in all areas of problem solving.
    Direct effective compliance pertaining to loan terms and financial conditions.
    Adapt to dynamic conditions of the banking environment on an ongoing basis.

    Comply with the Bank Secrecy Act, OFAC, Military Lending Act and USA PATRIOT Act including Customer Identification Program, customer due diligence, identifying high risk accounts and reporting suspicious activities to Supervisor or BSA Officer.

    QualificationsProven experience in leading teams, managing client portfolios, and navigating complex loan structures is crucial. Preference is given to commercial lending experience in the Colorado Springs or adjacent markets.
