TriMedia Environmental and Engineering Services is seeking a hard-working
Industrial Hygienist to join their team in
Kalamazoo, MI. As an Industrial Hygienist, you will provide necessary health and safety services to anticipate, recognize, evaluate, and control hazardous working conditions.


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Evaluate workplace health and safety exposures for a wide variety of clients across the country.
  • Conduct building hazardous material assessments.
  • Prepare equipment and conduct sampling for industrial hygiene surveys.
  • Observe work activities that can contribute to exposures.
  • Accurately document field observations and interactions.
  • Ensure principles of personal protective equipment and clothing are followed at all times.
  • Draft reports that are clear, concise, grammatically correct, technically competent, and ready for senior review.

COMPENSATION/BENEFITS

  • Annual salary of
    $45,000$75,000 commensurate with education and experience.
  • Standard schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional extended or nontraditional hours.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelors Degree in Occupational Health, Safety, Engineering, Construction Management or related field
    _required_.
  • 2+ years' experience in a professional field OR Master's Degree in Industrial Hygiene/Occupational Health
    _required_.
  • Ability to travel, local and regional, up to 50%.
  • Ability to perform safety inspections, field oversight, incident investigations, and develop health and safety plans.
  • Knowledge of construction materials, buildings, and reading construction drawings.
  • Existing regulatory certifications (e.g. asbestos, lead) are
    _a plus_.
  • Experience conducting field assessments is
    _a plus

  • Excellent communication skills with an emphasis on providing exceptional customer service.
  • Good technical writing and computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite).
