Job Overview:


Key Responsibilities:


Inspection and Assessment:

  • Perform detailed inspections of roofs to evaluate their condition and structural integrity.
  • Identify signs of damage, wear and tear, leaks, and other potential issues.
  • Use specialized tools and equipment to assist in inspections, including drones, moisture meters, and thermal imaging cameras.

Documentation and Reporting:

  • Document findings with detailed notes and photographs.
  • Upload findings into the online database.
  • Prepare inspection reports outlining the condition of the roof, identified issues, and recommended actions.
  • Work with the Senior Project Manager to provide cost estimates for recommended repairs or replacements.

Client Communication:

  • Communicate inspection findings clearly to clients, including property managers, and owners.
  • Answer any questions clients may have about the condition of their roof and the recommended actions.
  • Guide maintenance practices to extend the life of the roof.

Compliance and Safety:

  • Ensure all inspections are conducted in accordance with industry standards and local building codes.
  • Adhere to safety protocols to prevent accidents and injuries during inspections.

Follow-Up:

  • Conduct followup inspections after repairs or replacements have been completed to ensure quality and compliance with recommendations.
  • Maintain records of all inspections and followup visits for future reference.

Qualifications:


  • Minimum of 12 years of experience in roofing, construction, or a related field.
  • Previous experience as a roof inspector or in a similar role is highly desirable

Skills:


  • Positive attitude and willingness to join a dynamic team.
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to use learn and use inspection tools and technology, such as drones and thermal imaging cameras.
  • Willingness to learn online data system.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Physical ability to climb ladders, walk on roofs, and perform inspections in various weather conditions.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.

Work Environment:

The Roof Inspector will spend a significant amount of time on-site, inspecting roofs in various conditions and environments. This role may require working outdoors in different weather conditions and climbing ladders to access roofs. The inspector will also prepare reports and communicate with clients.


Compensation:

Compensation will be based on experience and qualifications. Benefits may include health insurance, retirement plans, paid time off, and performance bonuses.

A company car may be provided.

Gas card provided for travel.

From $70,000.00 per year
