    Description

    The Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Indianapolis is seeking a full-time Director of Catechesis to lead in the development of the archdiocesan catechetical plan, including the formation of catechists, as well as coordinate pastoral care across the archdiocese.

    This position will also regularly consult and collaborate with various offices and leadership in parishes, schools and agencies, but especially within the Secretariat for Catholic Schools.


    Candidates must be professed and practicing Catholics in good standing in the Church with a minimum of 5 years of highly successful ministry experience in a leadership role.

    A master's degree in catechetics, religious education or a related field is strongly preferred. Intercultural competency is required.

    Successful candidates must have a demonstrated ability to promote collaboration and foster teamwork, excellent oral and written communications skills, strong administrative and organizational skills, the ability to supervise and lead, and the ability to model lifelong learning by a commitment to acquiring new skills and mentoring others to do the same.
