Summary


As an Investment Analyst at Radial Power, you will play a pivotal role in driving our core investment activities focused on identifying opportunities in the development of new energy assets.

This role requires a keen understanding of technical, economic, and regulatory aspects within the clean energy sector. You will contribute to Radial Power's mission of decarbonizing real estate properties while unlocking significant economic value.

Reporting to the Senior Vice President of Strategy, you will support all aspects of the investment lifecycle, from capital raising to deployment and asset management.


Key Job Responsibilities

Market Research:

Conduct deep research on various technologies, markets, and sectors within distributed commercial and industrial (C&I) clean energy solutions. Synthesize findings to identify areas of interest for investment.

Opportunity Evaluation:

Review incoming opportunities and analyze them to recommend pursuit, including customer proposals and portfolio acquisitions.

Due Diligence:

Support due diligence of selected investment opportunities, including valuation analysis, transaction document review, and primary research.

Deal Structuring and Negotiation:

Assist in deal structuring and negotiation, including modeling negotiated terms and their impact on Radial Power and other stakeholders.

Customer Engagement:

Facilitate customer interaction by preparing and delivering presentations of distributed energy deployment plan proposals to potential clients. Ensure clear communication of value propositions and benefits.

Relationship Management:

Maintain ongoing relationships with customers, addressing inquiries, providing project progress updates, and ensuring customer satisfaction throughout the investment lifecycle.

Operations Support:

Facilitate daily operations of the investment team, ensuring smooth coordination and execution of investment activities.

Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:


Required Education

  • Bachelor's degree in renewable energy, finance, economics, engineering, natural sciences, or a related field preferred.

Required Experience

  • 13 years of professional experience in infrastructure/energy investing, business development, corporate strategy, or similar functions.

Other Skills

  • Understanding of valuation methods, including project finance debt and equity cashflow modeling, discounted cash flow analysis, and public comparable companies' analyses.
  • Proficiency in quantitative analysis of investment opportunities, including financial modeling.
  • Knowledge of various distributed energy technologies, such as solar, battery energy storage systems (BESS), electric vehicle (EV) charging, and energy efficiency solutions.
  • Attention to detail in both quantitative and qualitative analysis.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with experience in investment committee memoranda and customer presentations.
  • Ability to evaluate emerging markets, financing solutions, and policy drivers.

Physical Requirements
The Investment Analyst may be required to endure the following physical activities, environmental conditions, and physical demands:

- remain in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods,
- moving about to accomplish tasks or moving from one worksite to another,
- adjusting or moving objects up to 20 pounds in all directions,
- repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers, and
- assessing the accuracy, neatness and thoroughness of the work assigned.
