    GENERAL SUMMARY:
    The Board-Certified Behavior Analyst will report to the BCBA Supervisor at Beaumont Health-TED Lindsay Foundation Hope Center.

    The Board-Certified Behavior Analyst shall be responsible for conducting behavioral assessments and subsequently designing behavior analytic interventions for individuals diagnosed with autism spectrum disorders and other developmental disabilities.

    The Board-Certified Behavior Analyst will supervise Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analysts and/or Registered Behavior Technicians in the implementation of such behavior analytic interventions.


    The Behavior Analyst will primarily be working directly with parents and caregivers of children with a suspected diagnosis of autism spectrum disorder, providing evidenced based parent mediated intervention services.


    ESSENTIAL DUTIES:


    Work collaboratively with TED Lindsay Foundation Hope staff, patients and patients' families in order to provide behavior analytic services to individuals with autism spectrum disorders and other developmental disabilities.

    Conduct behavioral assessments and perform functional analyses as needed to identify function(s) of problem behavior.

    Develop effective interventions to decrease problem behavior; provide instruction in and supervision of their implementation to staff and families of patients.

    Supervise the collection of data necessary to determine effectiveness of interventions to decrease problem behavior; utilize data to refine/revise interventions as needed.

    Identify skill deficits appropriate to target in a (focused or comprehensive) behavior analytic instruction program; develop evidence-based program to teach these deficit skills; provide instruction and supervision of (focused or comprehensive) program to staff and families of patients.

    Supervise the collection of skill acquisition data necessary to determine effectiveness of intervention program; utilize data to refine/revise intervention program as needed.

    Provide ongoing supervision of Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst(s), Registered Behavioral Technicians, and trainees. Maintain appropriate documentation of assessment and treatment to meet hospital and insurance billing guidelines. Adhere to all ethical guidelines outlined by the Behavior Analysis Certification Board. Participate in regular and ongoing curriculum meetings with BCaBA, RBT, and families.

    Education / Training:

    • Candidate must possess a master's degree.

    Work Experience:

    • 1 to 3 years' experience working as Board Certified Behavior Analyst (preferred).

    Certification, Licensure, Registration:

    • Candidate must be certified by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board as a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst; if/when Michigan offers licensure for behavior analysts; candidates will be required to hold Michigan license as a behavior analyst.

    Other Qualifications:

    • Thorough understanding of principals of behavior analysis.
    • Familiarity with individuals with autism spectrum disorders and other developmental disabilities
    • Experience using assessment tools such as ABLLS and/or VBMAP to develop (comprehensive or focused) intervention programs.
    • Experience with assessment tools such as FAST or MAS to identify functions of problem behaviors.
    • Ability to conduct Functional Assessments.
    • Ability to teach staff, trainees, and patients' family members.
    • Effective supervision skills (e.g., able to provide constructive feedback).
    • Strong communication skills.
    • Familiarity with Excel or other software for purpose of graphing data
