In this energetic and fast-paced role, you will perform essential diagnostic tests, assist healthcare professionals, and ensure accurate data collection to facilitate effective treatment plans. Responsibilities
- Collect and prepare specimens such as blood, urine, or tissue samples for laboratory analysis with meticulous attention to detail.
- Operate and maintain medical equipment, ensuring all devices are calibrated and functioning correctly for accurate test results.
- Assist physicians and nurses during examinations and procedures by providing necessary support and documentation.
- Record patient information, test results, and observations accurately within electronic health record systems.
- Follow strict safety protocols and infection control procedures to protect patients, staff, and yourself at all times.
- Perform routine maintenance on laboratory tools and report any equipment malfunctions promptly.
- Support inventory management by stocking supplies, ordering necessary materials, and ensuring proper storage conditions.
Skills
- Strong understanding of medical terminology, laboratory procedures, and diagnostic testing techniques.
- Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy in data collection and documentation.
- Ability to operate various medical instruments and diagnostic equipment confidently.
- Effective communication skills to collaborate seamlessly with healthcare teams and explain procedures clearly to patients.
- Adaptability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of quality.
- Knowledge of safety standards, infection control practices, and regulatory compliance requirements.
- Certification as a Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) or equivalent is preferred but not mandatory; relevant training or experience is highly valued. Pay: $ $17.00 per hour
