The International Office at the Ostbayerische Technische Hochschule (OTH) Amberg-Weiden, located in Amberg, is currently seeking a full-time employee for the position of:

Project Assistant for MINTeGreat (m/f/d)

This is a temporary position with a focus on working on the MINTeGreat project, which aims to integrate international students (especially those studying in the fields of mathematics, engineering, natural sciences, and technology) at OTH Amberg-Weiden throughout their entire student life cycle, including preparation for studies, ensuring academic success, and supporting their transition into the workforce.

Responsibilities:­­
  • Advising and mentoring prospective refugee and other international students, and referring them to other experts if necessary
  • Supporting and assisting refugee and non-refugee international students
  • Promoting the academic success of refugee and non-refugee international students
  • Planning and preparing German language courses for prospective refugee and other international students
  • Providing guidance and support for their transition into the job market
  • Assisting project leaders with conceptual and strategic planning, as well as coordinating internal and external stakeholders
