Sanders Brothers Construction is currently seeking a Senior Accountant to support the accounting department and project management department.
Sanders Brothers Construction Company, Inc.

is a fully bonded, licensed and insured general contractor of heavy highway, street and road construction located in North Charleston, South Carolina.

Our area of work includes residential and commercial developments, as well as heavy highway and DOT construction.

We have the capability of performing a turn-key site work package in-house to include cost estimation, project management, surveying, grading, asphalt paving, concrete curb and gutter and flatwork, storm drainage and water and sewer systems.

We also have three asphalt production plants, an active concrete and asphalt recycling division which includes a mobile crusher that travels around the southeast, as well as a soil stabilization division.

Responsibilities
Providing monthly, quarterly, and year-end data to assist managers with equipment utilization and replacement analysis. This involves processing equipment meters, equipment usage, and equipment utilization data.
Providing monthly, quarterly, and year-end data to assist project managers with cost analysis.

Support and collaboration with the controller with various accounting functions related to accounts receivable, accounts payable and general accounting department.

Monthly, quarterly, and yearly compliance with tax authorities.
Working with the company financial team to create policies and procedures to optimize efficiency and internal control.
This position is in an office environment and is not remote/hybrid.
Within 3 to 5 years, the right candidate will have an opportunity to be

considered for

pr omotion to the Controller's position.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
Must possess a minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or similar field (preferred)
3-5 years of construction experience is highly valued.
Experience in Microsoft Office.
Strong analytical ability.
Effective time management with high attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
Ability to work independently and as a team with strong interpersonal skills.

Must meet SBCC's employment standards with regards to background checks and drug test policy prior to hire and maintain throughout the term of employment.

Preferred Skills
Viewpoint Construction Software experience considered a bonus
