    THE POSITION


    Do you like working outdoors? Do you like working with your hands? A Maintenance Repairman 1 position at Marsh Creek State Park may be the job for you.

    The park is looking for a positive individual who strives to keep the park facilities in good working order for the safe, enjoyable recreation and relaxation of our park visitors.


    DESCRIPTION OF WORK
    This position is part of the maintenance crew at French Creek Complex, headquartered at Marsh Creek.

    Your role will involve general maintenance duties which includes tasks in electrical, plumbing, carpentry, welding, masonry, tractor repairs, and mechanical equipment operation.

    Your responsibilities may also include working outdoors in various weather conditions, assisting in repairs to electrical systems, water and sanitary systems, as well as installation and replacement of various fixtures and lines throughout the park.

    Work Schedule and Additional Information:

    • Seasonal full-time employment without benefits.
    • Work hours are 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM, with a 30-minute lunch. Days will vary. Position will work five days per week, 37.5 hours weekly, for seven-day operation.
    • This position may work evenings, weekends, holidays and varying shifts as required by the park needs.
    • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

    • Two years of experience in general maintenance work which has involved at least two of the building, electrical, or mechanical trades; or
    • Any equivalent combination of experience and training that affords the applicant with the Required Knowledges, Skills, and Abilities.
