Description

The Shipping department communicates with on-site Production Managers and other company manufacturing locations, Builders, and Project Managers to ensure on-time delivery of product.

The Traffic & Shipping Coordinator coordinates shipments with Builders, secures dependable freight carriers, estimates freight rates, and maintains good customer relations with freight carriers, Builders and Project Managers.

The Coordinator also completes necessary paperwork to fulfill job requirements.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

Ensure continuous flow of truckload completions and paperwork through all shifts and weekends, as necessary 30%
Coordinate shipments with Builders 25%
Secure dependable freight carriers 15%
Estimate freight rates 15%
Interact with internal customers 15%

Skills & Competencies

Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel
Analytical and problem solving skills
Ability to prioritize and achieve deadlines
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and ability to multitask
Excellent communication, and interpersonal skills
Customer service and resolution skills
Ability to thrive in a fastpaced environment and quickly adapt to a changing landscape

Qualifications:

Minimum:

High School diploma or equivalent
Experience in Shipping or Traffic

Preferred:

College degree
1 year of experience in Shipping or Traffic role
