- Graduate of a program accredited by an agency recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA), United States Department of Education (USDOE) or Canadian Medical Association (CMA), that specifically conducts programmatic accreditation for diagnostic medical sonography/diagnostic cardiac sonography/vascular technology.
- Registered by The American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS). Certification in Abdomen, Obstetric & Gynecology, Breast and Vascular to be pursued and obtained.
- If registration by ARDMS is not achieved within one year of hire, continued employment as Ultrasound technologist may be terminated.

POSITION SUMMARY
Provides patient services utilizing Ultrasound and ancillary equipment. Performs ultrasound procedures. Performs image reconstructions on workstations as indicated by protocol and/or radiologist request. Evaluates Ultrasound images for technical quality and makes necessary adjustments to insure image quality for interpretation. Provides patient care essential to Ultrasound and radiographic procedures. Recognizes and responds to patient needs. Completes pre and post procedure patient assessment according to protocols. Recognizes patient conditions requiring immediate action and initiates support measures until the appropriate response team arrives. Follows ACR Practice Guidelines for all exams performed.
