    The highly anticipated Cascade Hotel Kansas City: a Marriott Tribute Portfolio is about to take center stage on the Country Club Plaza, Kansas City's most sought after entertainment district. Boasting 177 guest rooms, 15,000 square feet of meeting space, a two-level restaurant plus rooftop bar, this hotel is destined to become the 'go to' spot in Kansas City.

    We are in search of a Front Desk Supervisor that will play a key role in getting this property across the finish line. If you are experienced, innovative, tenacious, and ready to make your mark - we want to hear from you. The Front Desk Supervisor reports to the Assistant General Manager and is responsible for the following:
    • Oversee front desk in absence of the General Manager/Assistant General Manager
    • Being knowledgeable on all shifts to accurately train all new hires
    • Be the example when it comes to attendance, attitude, and guest interactions
    • Knowledgeable when it comes to our check-in system and reports that are run every shift
    • Resolving guest issues in a calm and collective manner
    • Being proactive to front desk and guest issues
    • Enforce hotel and management policies
    • Communicate to management regarding front desk associate issues, guest issues, and supply needs
    • Help maintain supply levels and inventory in our "In a Pinch" guest market area.
    • Ensure all shifts are accurately completing all tasks as listed on their shift checklist
    • Assist in the organization of front desk documents such as credit card authorizations, pet agreements, shift checklist, etc.
    • Covering shifts in the event of a call out/no show
    • Assist in maintaining hotel programs
    • Ensure all Empower tasks and chats are being completed
    • Greeting & checking in guest
    • Answering internal/external Calls
    • Assist Management in responding to all positive guest reviews and maintaining guest satisfaction scores
    • Assistant Management in other day to day operations/tasks such as breakfast, engineering, and housekeeping as assigned
    Special Requirements
    • Prompt and regular attendance - the hotel operates 7 days a week, 24 hours a day
    • Department schedules must accommodate fluctuating business demands and associates may be asked to work shifts other than those they prefer or normally work, and overtime as required
    • Must have full-time status availability
    • Comply with hotel and/or department uniform and professional behavior and appearance standards
    • Carry out all reasonable requests by team leaders and managers and act as a team player with all levels of staff
    • Review and approve electronic timecard weekly for accuracy

    Requirements
    • High School Diploma or equivalent
    • 2 years Front Desk experience preferred
    • Experience with Lightspeed, Fosse, and MICROS systems preferred
    • Liquor License or ability to obtain one within 30 days of hire
    • Must be willing to complete drug screen and background check in accordance with federal and state laws
    Salary Description

    $18/hr
