The
Patient Care Coordinator
is responsible for general clinic office functions that support efficient and effective patient care including patient registration, insurance verification, collection of applicable co-insurance and/or co-payments and scheduling of diagnostic and follow-up appointments and answering phones.
Schedule:
Monday - Friday, 7 AM - 3:30 PM PST
Location
: 1812 S. J St, Suite 102, Tacoma, WA, 98405
Primary Responsibilities:
Greet customers into the practice and provide instruction and/or direction as necessary on the phone
Coordinating patient care for diabetic supplies, continuous glucose monitors and insulin pumps
Work with insurance carries and clinic staff to help work through prior authorizations
Schedule and coordinate all patient appointments as directed
Maintain an organized and clean work area, free of clutter
Prepare all documentation and records with accuracy as directed or necessary for the patient's care
Meet or exceed the performance measures established by the Practice Management Dept
Maintain the inventory, and stock in the area according to the policies and procedures established by the Practice Management Dept.
Follow establish policy and procedures related to the position
Participate and contribute in a team-based environment
Maintain a team supportive attendance record
Follow OSHA/WISHA (including usage of PPE) guidelines
Follow HIPAA regulations
Adapt and perform effectively in a continuously changing environment, and in occasional difficult situations
Ability to be extremely flexible with the ability to float to different locations

Required Qualifications:
High School Diploma/GED (or higher)
1+ years of customer service experience with strong communication skills via phone
1+ years of Microsoft Office experience
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working in the healthcare industry
Knowledge of medications and medical terminology
Knowledge of EPIC systems
Washington Residents Only:
The hourly range for Washington residents is
$16.54 to $32.55 per hour.
Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc.
