Position Summary:

The Director of Business Development at Pendleton is responsible for identifying and pursuing sales opportunities within a designated territory. This role involves building relationships with key decision makers and selling our comprehensive Global Freight Forwarding and supply chain services, with a focus on Air and Sea Freight. The Director of Business Development may also have account management responsibilities for assigned accounts.

Key Responsibilities:

· Identify and target potential customers through various methods such as phone calls, cold calling, networking, and leveraging past business relationships.

· Use effective sales techniques to uncover customer needs and present our services as solutions.

· Develop and implement successful sales strategies that demonstrate the value of our services to prospects and clients.

· Engage with existing customers to assess satisfaction levels and improve customer service.

· Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the performance of the position, team, and company.

· Utilize internal and external resources to maximize sales opportunities and revenue.

· Participate in on-the-job training and mentoring with a successful Business Development Executive.

· Cultivate strong and lasting relationships with clients.

· Collaborate closely with the operations team to ensure timely and satisfactory delivery of goods for clients.

· Manage account administrative tasks, such as setting up new accounts
