"The Hamburg-Berlin route connects the two largest cities in Germany and is the top direct connection for city travel in Germany, with daily passengers on long-distance trains. Currently, trains run every half hour according to the Germany schedule" (DB CEO Richard Lutz)The Hamburg-Berlin corridor will be closed for train traffic from June to December 2025 for a major renovation.
During this time, DB will carry out numerous works on tracks, switches, and overhead lines, and further advance the equipment for the future digital railway operation, including the modernization of signal boxes.
In addition, DB will upgrade the train stations, providing modern platform roofs, weather shelters, new wayfinding systems, and equipping them for increased accessibility.
For this exciting project, we are looking for you and your expertise at our Berlin location as soon as possible.
In an interdisciplinary team, you can help shape the future of DB as a civil engineer or project engineer (m/f/d) for DB Netz AG.
Your tasks:
- As an engineer in project management, you will work on the Hamburg-Berlin highperformance corridor project with a focus on construction (KIB, VA, or building construction)
- This includes continuous monitoring and control of the contractually agreed performance in terms of costs, deadlines, and quality, as well as compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and environmental requirements and goals
- You will manage the contract packages from tendering to contract processing to final invoicing
