Role:

You will be responsible for the Operations function at Northwood and will play a crucial role in architecting our internal operations in service of aggressively delivering on our mission to transform the connection between earth and space.

Sitting at the intersection of strategy and tactical implementation of this mission, this role will partner directly with the co-founders and leadership team to support day-to-day operations and ensure successful operational decisions and strategic growth.

As a ground floor teammate at Northwood, the ideal individual for this role is a prime example of player/coach - deeply experienced and familiar with leadership and rapidly scaling companies, yet also energized by rolling up their sleeves and being an individual contributor down to the details.

Responsibilities:

• Own Northwood's internal operations on a daily basis, including legal, finance, and HR/recruiting.
• Own financial monitoring, budgeting and forecasting, driving financially sound decisions in a rapidly scaling business.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
• Recruit, cultivate, and retain exceptional talent across the company, and ensure a superior employee experience.
• Maintain a comprehensive and expansive overview of all aspects related to your duties. Anticipate and address any 1) problems that could derail projects or 2) opportunities for growth.
• Serve as a Player/Coach, ready to personally take on core tasks while also cultivating teams and expanding the company.

Requirements:

• Demonstrated success owning complex projects in a fastpaced or dynamic environment.
• Capacity to participate in technical discussions and a commitment to understanding the intricacies and tradeoffs in technical ideas.
• Skilled in developing forecasts and projections within a rapidly changing operational context.
• Outstanding decisionmaking skills and poise under pressure.
• Rigorous focus on details, committed to preserving the company's mission, and upholding a high standard of quality.
• Manage projects to completion on schedule, addressing a broad range of challenges, meeting deadlines, and collaborating with various stakeholders.

Compensation and Benefits:

Compensation is determined by role, level, location. and alignment with market data.

Individual level and base pay is determined on a base-by-case basis and may vary based on job-related skills, education, experience, and technical capabilities.

In addition to base salary, Northwood Space offers long term incentives such as company stock, stock options, and cash awards, as well as discretionary bonus for performance.
