    Mental Health Therapist/Counselor - Open for Counselor Trainees to Apply

    Job Description:

    The Mental Health Therapist collaborates closely with the Clinical Director and assigned counselor supervisor. In this role, you will be responsible for conducting individual, group, and family therapy sessions, leading various clinical mental health activities. Additionally, you will carry out diagnostic and assessment procedures, depending on your qualifications and capabilities. Other assigned duties may apply.

    • Conduct daily individual, group, and family counseling sessions.
    • Perform various Diagnostic, Assessment, and Treatment Planning procedures in line with industry standards.
    • Coordinate clinical activities and ensure compliance with agency policies.
    • Attend meetings and provide treatment reports as needed.
    • Engage in Quality Assurance committees and in-service training sessions.
    • Maintain accurate documentation and liaise with relevant parties regarding client progress.
    • Participate in outreach activities and meetings with external agencies.
    • Utilize EHR systems effectively.
    • Take on additional responsibilities as designated by superiors.

    Minimum Qualifications:

    • Education: Bachelor's degree in Counseling or a related field, or equivalent experience as per Ohio Counseling and Social Work Board regulations.
    • Required Licensure: Valid Ohio counseling license.
    • Experience: Prior experience with individuals facing mental health challenges preferred.
    • Interpersonal Skills: Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively.
    • Essential Technical/Motor Skills: Strong organizational, communication, and fine motor skills.
    • Age-Specific Care Criteria: Proficiency in assessing and addressing age-specific patient needs.
    • Supervision: No supervisory responsibilities in this role.
    • Competency with MS Office applications essential.
    • Adaptability to a dynamic environment required.
    • Positive references and clear background check required.
    • Clean drug screen necessary.
