    Description

    We are hiring for a Medical Assistant Position at our clinic!

    Great opportunity for local candidates with excellent pay and benefits in a long-term Government contract assignment.

    The Medical Assistant will be responsible for the following duties:

    • Provides comprehensive, skilled care tailored to patients of all ages based on the provider's care plan.
    • Participates in pre-visit planning and communicates patient needs to the healthcare team.
    • Performs intake procedures and operates specialized medical equipment.
    • Administers medications, assists in examinations, and collects specimens.
    • Recognizes urgent situations, reports changes in patient's condition promptly, and initiates emergency measures when needed.
    • Assists in patient teaching and reinforces health goals.
    • Participates in regulatory requirements and infection control measures.
    • Performs dressing and wound care treatments, phlebotomy, and blood glucose testing.
    • Participates in performance improvement activities and collaborates with healthcare team members.
    • Handles phone calls, schedules appointments, and checks-in/checks-out patients as needed.

    Requirements:

    • Medical Assistant Diploma / Certification
    • National or State certification maintenance
    • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

    Immunization Records will be required for employment.

    Applicants must be willing and able to pass Federal Security Clearance.
