Job Summary:

The Server provides outstanding service to patrons by taking menu orders, reviewing orders for accuracy and delivering orders speedily, accepting payments and making change. The server maintains a thorough knowledge of our menu, current promotions, and signature cocktails ensuring that patrons have a fun and overall great dining experience.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Greets patrons as they are seated; ensures the table/booth is clean and that menus, utensils, and other needs have been provided.
Answers questions regarding the menu items and any recent changes.
Inform patrons about any daily special going on.
Takes food and beverage orders and ensure that they have arrived in the kitchen or bar.
Delivers food, beverages, condiments, and other requested items to patrons promptly.
Ensures that food is prepared correctly and to customers' satisfaction; returns incorrect or improperly cooked orders to kitchen/bar.
Routinely check back with their patrons- anticipating needs and exceeding expectations.
Collects plates and clears the table as patrons finish their meals.
Prepares customers' checks and collects payments.
Assists with other restaurant tasks such as cleaning the dining area and preparing silverware and condiments.
Performs other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

Required Skills/Abilities:

Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
Well-organized with ability to take and place food and beverage orders accurately.
Ability to operate point-of-sale systems.
Must be able to use addition and subtraction to make quick change.

Education and Experience:

Must be at least nineteen years old (at least 21 years old to serve alcoholic beverages).
Previous experience as a server preferred.
Must have or be willing to hold liquor permit or server certification.

Physical Requirements:

Prolonged periods of standing and walking.
Must be able to lift, balance, and carry trays of food weighing up to 25 pounds.
