- 2+ years of relevant testing experience
- Software testing experience (Ability in Unit testing, system integration testing, regression testing)
- Ability to create test scripts from scratch (Visual Studio experience preferred, not mandatory)
- Some exposure to hardware / electrical component testing
- Familiarity with PCB Boards
- Knowledge of Voltage/Amperage Multimeters
- Proficiency with the Microsoft Suite
- Effective communication skills
- Ability to learn quickly and initiate tasks independently
- Experience with Visual Studio
- Knowledge in RF technologies
- Prior experience in utilities sector
- Background in test automation
- Position within the Advanced Meter organization involving project and operational support, with 75% focus on software testing and 25% on hardware/electrical component testing
- Project involvement in two separate pilots:
- Ultrasonic meters
- Residential methane detection
- Conduct software and hardware testing in a lab environment to support Advanced Meters and the AM Network
- Software testing includes firmware for Data Collector Units (DCUs), ultrasonic meters, residential methane detection meters, and software patches
- Develop software test scripts from scratch or modify existing scripts
- Potential collaboration with other Advanced Meter partners
- Perform hardware testing on cellular cards, DCUs, and related hardware components for firmware upgrades
- Participate in engineering review of the DCU electrical component board
- Occasional site visits for analysis may be required
- Provide additional support or tasks as necessary
