Description

Duties:

Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise
Perform daily inspections of forklifts and report any maintenance or safety issues
Load and unload trucks using forklifts or other equipment
Pick orders accurately and efficiently using order picking systems
Receive and process incoming shipments, verifying accuracy of shipments and inspecting for damage
Maintain a clean and organized work area
Follow all safety procedures and OSHA regulations

Requirements:

Valid forklift operator certification or willingness to obtain certification
Previous experience operating a forklift or similar equipment preferred
Mechanical knowledge to perform routine maintenance on forklifts
Ability to operate a pallet jack and lift truck
Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) and perform physical tasks as required
Basic math skills for counting inventory and calculating load weights
Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
Strong communication skills to work effectively with team members
