Description

J Global Energy is seeking a talented Risk Analyst with a minimum of 3 years of experience in Commodity Risk Management to join our dynamic team in Houston, TX.


Responsibilities:


  • Conduct reconciliation of futures, derivatives, physical, and paper trades within the commodities market.
  • Monitor and manage exposure levels to ensure compliance with predetermined risk limits.
  • Collaborate effectively with traders, management, and operators to communicate riskrelated information and recommendations.
  • Maintain relationships with brokers and Futures Commodities Merchants (FCMs) to address requirements and ensure smooth operations.
  • Assist in daily, weekly, and monthly profit and loss (P&L) analysis, interpreting data to inform decisionmaking processes.
  • Implement and enforce risk policies and parameters, ensuring compliance and adherence throughout the organization.
  • Stay updated on market trends and changes affecting risk management strategies within the Oil and Gas commodities trading sector.

Requirements:


  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in Commodity Risk Management within the commodities market.
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in reconciling trades and interpreting P&L data.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to thrive in a fastpaced, highpressure environment and manage competing priorities effectively.

Desirable:

  • Fluency in Portuguese;
  • Proficiency in SQL, Python, or similar programming languages;

Pay:
From $90,000.00 per year
