Essential qualifications:

  • Experience in basic molecular biology techniques, including: PCR, DNA/RNA extractions, solution preparation
  • Good hands in lab and dedication to handson laboratory work
  • Ability to lead a project independently and problem solve as needed
  • Ability to work well with others in a team environment
  • Excellent organizational skills and a strong attention to detail
  • Comfortable working with live bees

Other valuable experience (not required):

  • Experience working with Drosophila or similar genetic models
  • Experience teaching or training others in a laboratory setting
